Have you developed unwanted signs of visible aging that cannot be treated effectively with at-home creams and serums? Has sun damage aged your appearance by creating wrinkles, skin discoloration, or scars? A poor complexion can rob you of the youthful glow that helps you feel confident. Fractora™ is a versatile radio-frequency microneedling treatment that smooths the contours of the face and eliminates common signs of aging. Fractora™ can also be used on darker skin types that typically can’t tolerate many of the more aggressive skin treatments.
- If you are considering Fractora™ treatments, you should be in good health and have realistic expectations about your results. Fractora™ is most useful for patients whose skin issues are the result of decreased collagen production or those who have surface discoloration. You may consider Fractora™ treatments if you have one or more of the following skin concerns:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Poor skin texture
- Pigmentation irregularities
- Cystic acne
The Fractora™ Process
Fractora™ achieves its skin rejuvenation results using radio-frequency technology. The head of the Fractora™ device delivers energy-produced heat into the deeper tissues of the skin through multiple small needles. The localized heat to the sub-dermal tissue promotes renewed collagen production, which plumps and revitalizes the skin. The targeted heat can also damage pigment-producing cells that cause skin discoloration. Fractora™ combines the best of microneedling and radio-frequency treatments.
Fractora™ can be utilized in the most common areas related to facial aging, including the lower eyelids, upper eyelids, smile lines, cheeks, mouth, and neck. While most patients see dramatic improvements after just one treatment, multiple sessions may be required to achieve the final results you desire.
It is typical to experience some redness and irritation that lasts for several days. You should avoid direct exposure to sunlight for at least four weeks. Even after this time, you should always wear sunscreen to protect and prolong the quality of your results. You may decide to return to work the day following your treatment. It is best to plan accordingly because your skin probably won’t be ready for social engagements for at least five to seven days following your treatment.
Once the initial irritation has worn off, you should notice an immediate improvement in the texture of your skin. Over the next several weeks your skin should be noticeably more plump and brighter, and there should be a reduction in wrinkles and discoloration. To achieve your ideal results, repeat treatments placed four to six weeks apart may be necessary.
